Sprint SUCKS...Mostly.

Okay, here's the scoop.

Sprint started charging me in October for unlimited internet and text messaging, or $25, both of which I don't use. Okay, I might text message 5 times a month, but I'll pay the 5 or 10 cents each which is way cheaper then $25. ANyways, I noticed this in Jan, called them, and they credited me $50. Looking at my bill last Wednesday, they started charging me again for these services. At this point, I was FRUSTRATED and asked to cancel my account. She transfered me to someone else, which I latter learn is their retentions department. Anyways, she says she could credit me for the charges. I said "well, I had to call you from my home phone since my cell phone doesn't work, and the antenna broke, but I can't afford a $200 phone". She said, she could get me new phone (a Sanyo 8300) which their website says is $279.99. I responding "Okay, but I don't know anything about that phone, i want to see it first". That night, I make a trip to the Sprint store, check out the phones, and decide I want a Sanyo 7500 because it's newer and better for only $20 more. I return home, call them up, and offer to pay the $20 difference. They agree and said they will ship the 7500 out to me. YAY. I get a $299.99 phone for $20. Plus, i convinced them to have my free evenings start at 6pm, versus 9pm for free ($10/month value).

Fast forward to today. I called them up, asking where ym phone is. They said they have a $20 credit (my original payment), but are still waiting for the $279.99 payment for the rest of the phone. I moan, and complain, get transfered to retensions dept again. Anyways, had to pay another $30 since the 8300 was on internal sale (retensions dept only) and could not give me the 7500 for only $20, but it would cost $50 total. Anyways, I agreed, but i'm still upset that I've had to call them so many times, not to mention the hold times. GAR.

The point is, complain (nicely), about their issues and you'll eventually get cheaper rates, and a new phone. Also, check your cell phone bills once in a while. Everything I have is auto-payment (did this before my Euro trip so I wouldn't get any late fees on ANYTHING), so I only occasionally spot check bills.

Other then that, things have been great. Going to SF this weekend to party for my b-day. Hopefully will be more intoxicated than not. I'm usually pretty good with hangovers, in that i don't really get them. Of course, I drink lots of water and take vitamins to help. *knocks on wood regardless*

Our den is comming together nicely! We repainted the den to a nice color (see pictures), and Albert bought all new furnature. I'll have to take some pics to share. Not quite done in there, but it's getting there. The next room to tackle is the family room / kitchen / living rooms - going to repaint them and redo the flooring (most likely not at the same time, unfortunatly).
